The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Education is one of the  newly created faculties in the College of Education Studies. The college  was created in 2014 as a two tier college. After two years of  experimentation, it was elevated to a three tier college with the  creation of four faculties including our faculty, the Faculty of  Humanities and Social Sciences Education (FOHSSE). FOHSSE was created  from the former Department of Arts and Social Sciences Education. 

It is  currently made up of two academic departments: the Department of Arts  Education and the Department of Business and Social Sciences Education.  The latter is a combination of Business Education and Social Sciences  Education disciplines. The two disciplinary areas would be broken down  into departments, Business Education and Social Sciences Education when  office space is expanded and additional Lectures are recruited in the  near future.
